Day One

Today is a busy day, so please be patient with the staff and other teams. Note that the tasks below don't have to be completed in the order given, so if there is a bottleneck on one task you can work on another.

1. Verify that your kit is complete.
2. Solder the OrcPad in your kit (assembly guide) and show it to a staff member to be checked off. The staff member will
   • check your soldering,
   • program your OrcPad, and
   • give you the LCD for the OrcPad.
3. Complete the OrcPad assembly.
4. Write a "hello world" program for your Eden.
5. Write a "hello world" program for your OrcPad.
6. Assemble the pegbot: bolt on motors, etc.
7. Show your finished OrcPad hello world and pegbot to a staff member.

You have completed all required activities for today! Take your kit home. Brainstorm robot ideas with your team. Finish the tutorial if you have not done so already.
