January 31
- We highly encourage your robot to post output to BotClient.
- The Maslab shop and 38-500 lab will be open all night tonight.
January 22
- Please return the red balls to the playing fields when you are not actively using them. We do not have enough red balls for teams to take home.
- Don't forget about the Sponsor dinner tonight 6-8pm in 34-401.
January 19
- For future mock contests and the actual competition, you MUST be able to start your robot from the OrcPad.
January 16
- Email Val if you are interested in contributing to a Robot Magazine article on Maslab.
- Talk to the staff if your computer is running hot and you need a fan.
- Please be sure to return tools to the workshop when you are done with them.
January 13
- The 001 lab (which has 2 playing fields) is always available!
- If you want to test your code outside of lab, you will need to connect the wireless card to another computer and register it with DHCP. Otherwise the robot's computer will not be able to access your code (its IP address will start with 10.202, which is the MIT DHCP registration site).
January 13
- Be sure you turn in an electrical safety packet to the TA room.
- There is a fun guest lecture on Tuesday at noon in 32-G449.
- All students are required to attend the ITA dinner on Wednesday.
January 12
- Although there is no software lecture this year, we strongly encourage you to take a look at the software lecture from last year - put in the Lectures section.
- If you find yourself with extra time this weekend, consider posting your resume.
- We guarantee that the goals are at least a foot deep at the width of the goal.
January 11
- Don't let your batteries discharge below about 11 V. Charge them first, charge them frequently.
January 10
- Please do not remove red balls from the playing area.
January 8
- First day of Maslab! Report to 35-225 at noon for the first lecture.
- Be sure to read all of the assignments linked to on the Wiki and review the pages in the general information section, especially the Lab Staffing Schedule, which describes what Maslab activities that we expect you to attend are happening when this IAP. They contain important information regarding Maslab policies that you almost certainly want to be aware of early in IAP.
- The Day one assignment page lists what you'll be doing today.
- Check the wiki frequently for announcements.
- If your sketchy USB header device becomes unplugged from the computer, please have a staff member plug it back in. If it becomes plugged in backwards, you will destroy your USB wireless device.
