Feel free to answer questions, pose new questions, or add thoughts.

Current plan:

  • Design our own Arduino in the style of the Mega 2560, with 4 onboard motor controllers.

Questions:

  • Should we make comprehensive libraries that students can use with no incentive to write their own? Or should we continue to encourage low-level coding?

Thoughts:

  • Spend a few extra dollars on higher-quality motors. You'll blow out fewer motor controllers when the winding resistance doesn't drop by 30 ohms after a few seconds of stall.
