Team Four/Journal

Day 1

Robj, Sheep, and Cappie work tirelessly on the first two checkpoints defeating them with glory and class. Jelle enjoys chocolate sprinkles on bread in Nederdutch.

Day 2

Robj, Sheep, and Cappie struggle against the relentless and evil encoders. The battles are bloody. Robj looked to his Darlington transistors for hope, but only found despair. Sheep valiantly fought ubuntu and arduino's almost c++ code leaving her babbling about fishes. Cappie attempted a covert mission against the Arduino IDE, and mostly broke everything. The confused mechanical engineer solemnly went back to CADing Lolbot. In an effort to recover from all of the delicious chocolate sprinkles, Jelle spent the day in a whimsical slumber.

Day 6

Cappie made our base! It's very round and pretty.

Day 7

Transferred pegbot to basebot. The encoders are broken again! Luckily, this is not a problem as the robot drives straighter than ever without any PID. Also, the robot hunts balls.

Day 8

Manufacture all the parts!

Day 9

Fjord Yeah!!! We won the first mock competition.

Day 10

Our robot can now score points. That is, until we disassembled it.

Day 11

Vision just got 20% cooler. Circuitry designed. Machined some pulleys.

Day 12

Final staged robot.

Day The 22nd The robot makes it up the Green Building 400 times autonomously, securing 4E's victory over Tetazoo and Putz/Macgregor. The drop test from the top of the Green Building proved our robot design to be robust.

Day The 23rd Natural language processing finally works on the Arduino. We intend to use this to coax the red balls into our bin. Assembled electronics again, broke the encoders again, and wrote more code again. Tim won the Nutella eating competition.

Day The 24th Implemented secret features and secret stategies.

Day The 28th Jim made speakers, now where to mount them? Implemented sonic weaponry.
