Power wiring for your robot
Here is a (jank) diagram showing how you can wire up power to your entire robot:
Note: Be careful wiring up the barrel jack for your NUC! The center pin needs to be positive, and the outer part of the jack needs to be negative.
Tips:
- Color code power wires according to standards - red for positive, and black for negative
- Use bus bars for distributing power through your robot
- Use the thicker speaker wire to hook up battery power and motors
- You can use thinner jumper wires to hook up regulated 5V power for sensors and servos
- When using the DC regulator, measure the output of the regulator with a multimeter and make sure it's 5V before using it (or whatever you want the output to be)
