1/3/2022 - 1/9/2022

  • CAD for robot base
  • Signal + Power Wiring
  • NUC setup
  • Strategy decided (top secret will post later)
  • System code architecture design drawn
  • Rough path planning code written

1/10/2022-1/16/2022

  • Base laser cut + put together
  • Initial sorting mechanism prototype
  • Closed-loop square driving architecture done
  • Test bot base complete + controls team is happy to have something to actually test code on
  • Decided generally where the camera will be mounted on the robot
  • Fine path planner almost done
  • Setting up openCV

1/17/2022-1/22/2022

  • Balls! Walls! Oh my! Basic CV working for relevant object recognition
  • Path planning integration with ROS
  • CV integration with ROS
  • Problem: unpredictable jerking of motors at roslaunch, completely throwing off encoder based localizations, very difficult to calibrate precise encoder values for turning desired angles.
