−	* The default wireless driver for the eee pc's wireless card, wl, is closed-source and pretty buggy. If you uninstall the bcmwl package, the open-source and more-reliable brcm80211 driver will be used instead. The best driver is brcmsmac, but you have to upgrade your kernel past 2.6.39 to get it.

−	* The eee pc has OpenCV 2.1 and numpy 1.5 installed. These are actually pretty far out-of-date. I saw performance improvements on the order of 5% after upgrading to OpenCV 2.3 and numpy 1.6.
