MASLAB – Team 8 Schedule

Wed January 9th before 5pm (meeting with Staff):
Have a schedule (either written or on the wiki) for IAP.
Have a mechanical design (drawn, CADed, hard copy).
Have a software architecture outline.
Have a general strategy for robot.

Thurs January 10th before 8pm:
Turn and drive towards a ball.

Fri January 11th before 8pm:
Be able to calibrate your camera quickly within 1 minute (ie for changing light conditions).
Demonstrate your camera calibration by driving towards a green ball.

Sat January 12th before 8pm:
Fabricate and assemble robot body,
Practice driving with PID controller implemented

Sun January 13th before 8pm:
Mount sensors and other parts to robot.
Practice sensing and driving toward ball
Implement IR sensors

Mon January 14th, during the Mock Competition:
Start on button press, stop after 3 min. (Can use pegbot)
Clean up after mock competition

Tues January 15th, before 8pm:
Design update for hardware
Code update for software

Wed January 15th, before 8pm:
Fabricate and assemble hardware
Code and test for software

Thurs January 17th before 4pm (meeting with Staff):
Fabricate and assemble hardware
Code and test for software
Discuss updated design with staff at your designated time.

Fri January 18th during Mock 2:
Successfully calibrate within 1 minute, start on a button press, and stop after 3 minutes.
During the 3 minutes, drive towards a red or green ball, then towards a yellow scoring wall.
Optional: Pick up the ball.
Optional: Score over the yellow wall with the ball.

Sat January 19th, before 8pm:
Fabricate and assemble hardware
Code and test for software to recognize and drive to pyramid, align properly

Sun January 20th, before 8pm:
Fabricate and assemble hardware
Code and test for software

Wed January 23th during Mock competition:
Drive towards and pick up ball
Drive to button and collect balls from chute
Drive to pyramid and align correctly
Deploy conveyer belt
4pm Help set up for sponsor dinner

Thurs January 24th, before 8pm:
Debug and fix robot for issues during mock competition
7pm Vecna Guest Lecture

Tues January 29th, for seating:
Score lots of points!
Drive towards and pick up ball
Drive to button and collect balls from chute
Drive to pyramid and align correctly
Deploy conveyer belt

Fri February 2nd, final competition:
Score lots of points and be awesome!
